From AI Content Creation to Your Own AI Assistant: Tongwon University Lifelong Education Center’s Summer Intermediate Generative AI Course Successfully Concludes

Beyond understanding generative AI, the course focused on creating with AI and putting it to practical use.

The five-week Summer Intermediate Generative AI Course, held at the Lifelong Education Center of Tongwon University from June 18 to July 16, successfully concluded.
Going beyond simply using generative AI as a tool for asking questions and receiving answers, the course provided hands-on experience across a wide range of applications—from AI content creation and video production to branding, vibe coding, and building personalized AI assistants.

Week 1 | Creating AI Personas & Storyboards

In the first week, participants used generative AI to create their own AI persona images and developed storyboards to structure the flow of short-form videos based on their personas.
By defining elements such as characters, locations, actions, emotions, and composition in detail, participants learned the fundamental workflow of AI-powered content creation.

Week 2 | AI Video Production & Brand Promotion

In Week 2, participants used the characters and storyboards developed during the first week to create their own 8–15 second short-form videos.
Alongside video production, they explored YouTube channel setup, thumbnail and title development, and upload strategies, learning how AI-generated content can be applied to real-world promotion and branding.

Week 3 | Creating a Digital Business Card with AI Vibe Coding

In Week 3, participants created their own digital business card webpages through conversations with ChatGPT.
Using an AI vibe coding approach, participants described the interface they wanted in natural language, reviewed the generated results, and refined them through further instructions—allowing them to create functional web content without the burden of traditional coding.

Week 4 | Building a Personalized AI Assistant

In Week 4, participants built AI assistants tailored to their individual needs using Tasks, Custom GPTs, and Projects.
They defined specific roles and instructions for AI based on repetitive tasks such as research, writing, and image concept development, gaining practical experience in integrating AI into real-world workflows.

Week 5 | Refining AI Projects & Putting Them into Practice

In the final week, participants revisited and improved the various outputs they had created throughout the course, including AI-generated images and videos, personal webpages, and Custom GPTs.
They developed their existing projects into more practical and usable forms and concluded the five-week course by creating and publishing personal webpages with ChatGPT Sites and presenting their final projects.

Looking Back on Five Weeks of Intermediate Generative AI Learning

Throughout the five-week program, participants progressively explored a wide range of generative AI applications: AI image & storyboard creation → AI video & branding → vibe coding → personalized AI assistants → project refinement & practical application.
Rather than simply learning the functions of AI tools, the course gave participants the opportunity to create tangible outcomes and explore how AI can be applied to their own work and everyday lives.
